Guy Manners Spencer

Having worked briefly in the oil engineering sector, Guy then spent 15 years in the real estate sector in a variety of investment and project management roles, including 2 years at London’s largest residential real estate fund.

He then moved into the renewable energy sector in 2010, developing solar and wind projects and in 2016 developed a 22MW solar farm which was sold to Blackrock for c. £25m.

Since then Guy has been focused on the gas peaking and energy storage sector.

Guy has a Masters degree in Engineering and Economics from Oxford University.

James Wood

James began his career in corporate finance and private equity with SBC Warburg, before a career in venture capital and early stage businesses. 

James started working in the renewable energy sector in 2010 in India, converting legacy coal plants to biomass as well as extending an existing anaerobic digestion plant.  

In 2016, James advised on a 100MW solar plant in Dominican Republic with Guy, following which he started working with Guy on the establishment of Harbour Energy.

James read Law & Economics at Exeter University.

Dominic Ackers-Douglas

Dominic is an advisor to Harbour Energy and is a non-exec Director on the Group’s development company, representing Constantine Group.

Dominic joined Constantine in 2008 from investment bank Morgan Stanley. He set up and now runs Constantine’s investments in the Renewables sector.

Constantine is Harbour Energy’s principal funder for our development activity.

Will Woodall

Will is a Partner at Burges Salmon law firm where he largely specialises in advising on developing, investing in and funding energy and real estate projects.

Will has advised numerous investment funds and renewable energy companies - including Bluefield Solar, Ingenious Investments, Anesco and Octopus Investments - on the acquisition, financing and disposal of renewable energy assets.

He has extensive, market-leading experience of advising on all real estate aspects of rooftop and ground-mounted solar, onshore wind, anaerobic digestion, biomass, reserve power, battery storage, hydro-electric and energy from waste project.

Will and Burges Salmon advises Harbour Energy on legal and fund raising maters.
